Swollen device batteries are never safe and are always dangerous. What at first might seem like a minor annoyance is gas building up inside of the battery. If the swollen battery is punctured or damaged it can literally burst into flames. That’s why it’s very important to get your device to a professional to remove or properly dispose of the battery.
